12th DDPI Seminar and Extended Lecture “Reducing Health Disparities through Measures to Combat Loneliness and Isolation: A Social Epidemiological Perspective”

The DDPI project will continue to hold a series of seminars intermittently in FY2022, focusing on policy solutions to disparities and inequalities and the potential of digital technology (digital democracy) for such solutions.

The 12th seminar will be the first face-to-face meeting of the DDPI seminar series, and will be titled “Correction of Health Inequalities through Measures against Isolation and Loneliness: A Perspective from Social Epidemiology. Dr. Naomi Kondo, who has been tackling the issue of health disparities from various perspectives from a social epidemiological approach, talked about various health disparities, countermeasures against them, and community building, including actual efforts and the outlook after Corona.
