The DDPI project will continue to organise an intermittent seminar series in 2022, with themes such as policy solutions to disparities and inequalities and the potential of digital technology for this purpose (digital democracy).

The 16th seminar, entitled ‘Empirical Analysis of Childcare Policy: Results of Recent Research in Economics’, will welcome Dr Taiyo Fukai, Assistant Professor of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Tsukuba, to discuss policy evaluation analysis of childcare policy, the childcare system and future research issues based on multifaceted empirical analysis of the field, which has been the subject of growing interest in recent years.
