The DDPI project will continue to organise a seminar series intermittently in FY2022, while focusing on policy solutions to disparities and inequalities and the potential of digital technology for this purpose (digital democracy).

The 17th seminar, entitled ‘Security and Local Self-Government: an approach from Okinawan election research’, invited Professor Yoshiaki Kubo of Kwansei Gakuin University to talk about security and local self-government based on his research on elections in Okinawa.
