21st DDPI seminar ‘Community and indigenous peoples’ rights to natural resources: thinking in commons and property theory’.
The DDPI project will intermittently organise a seminar series on policy solutions to disparities and inequalities, and the potential of digital technologies for this purpose (digital democracy).
The 21st seminar, entitled ‘Community and indigenous peoples’ rights to natural resources: thinking in terms of commons and property theory’, was given by Professor Makoto Inoue of the School of Human Sciences, Waseda University. Professor Inoue specialises in environmental sociology, forest governance and Southeast Asian area studies. This time, he spoke from the perspectives of ‘resources’ and ‘indigenous peoples’, providing an opportunity to deepen the discussion on the elimination of disparities and inequalities.
