[12/26 14:00-] “Empirical Analysis of Childcare Policies: Results of Recent Economic Studies” (16th DDPI Seminar)
The DDPI Project has been holding a series of seminars on policy solutions to disparities and inequalities, and the potential of digital technology (digital democracy) for such solutions.
In this 16th seminar, we will hear from Dr. Taiyo Fukai, Assistant Professor of Humanities and Sociology at the University of Tsukuba, on the topic of “Empirical Analysis of Childcare Policies: Results of Recent Economic Research. The number of children using daycare centers is on the rise, despite the declining birthrate and aging population, due to an increase in the percentage of women in the workforce. In this context, various issues related to childcare, such as the shortage of childcare workers and children on waiting lists, are becoming topics of daily conversation. Dr. Fukai specializes in public and labor economics, and we would like to discuss childcare policy analysis from an economic perspective.
We look forward to your participation.
