[7/7 Face-to-face seminar] “Redressing Health Disparities by Countermeasures against Loneliness & Isolation : From Social Epidemiologic View” was held.
On Thursday, July 7, 2022, we invited Dr. Naomi Kondo, a social epidemiologist, to give a lecture titled “Redressing Health Disparities by Countermeasures against Loneliness & Isolation : From Social Epidemiologic View”.
This time, as an expanded lecture, it was held in face-to-face session after taking precautions against infectious diseases. Dr. Kondo, who has been tackling the issue of health disparities from various viewpoints from the approach of social epidemiology based on the concept of “healthy community planning,” provided a very fruitful talk based on his research experience, and participants asked various questions and engaged in a lively discussion.
The DDPI project will continue to hold a series of seminars on policy solutions to disparities and inequalities, and the potential of digital technology (digital democracy) for such solutions.
